Or at least try. Kel's knowledge on how to give one personn energy is quite limited at the moment and there's no way he starts feeding Sunny energy drinks.
He puts the meat he got to the side with the veggies, all still packed, and starts searching for a proper pot. He... vaguely remembers Hero preparing popcorns but he's positive he got this. Pot, a large bowl, corn, oil, salt... it's all placed there right in front of Sunny.]
Well then, my lovely assistant, let's get to work. It's not going to be difficult. Just place some oil at the bottom, then add half a cup of kernels and put them on... I think medium heat? Cover the pot and just... wait for the popping to begin.
[Simple as that. Kel could do it himself, but he busies himself to prepare more skewers, things always taste better when you make them... right? And if Sunny likes popcorns he's going to let him enjoy this.]
[It sounds simple enough. Sunny likes things with clear directions. He does as Kel instructed, putting oil and kernels in the pot, then turning on the stove. He doesn't use it much. Then, there's just to wait for the popping. While they do, Sunny helps Kel make fruit skewers too. They'll have an awful lot of food, it seems.]
[Kel isn't too worried about that. First of all, he eats a lot of food by himself. Second, if there is extra food they can either bring some to Aubrey (or invite her, whatever Sunny prefers.) or places leftover in the fridge. It's all good as they start piling up fruity skewers on a plate.]

Maybe we could try making one. As a group. I could take an excuse to slap a flour covered hand on Aubrey's shirt. Anyway, Sunny, you're the one on popcorn duty, right?
[He can't help but laugh at the situation, simply reaching for the pot and putting it to the side, away from the fire. Without heat below, they'll stop popping, right? And when they do they can probably... collect the ones on the top and continue cooking the rest... right?]

[See? It's good to have a local Professional Clown at times and he takes great pride in his job. Kel does take a step back, grinning widely and offering a silly flex.]
But are yoou sure I am? Or is this some tactical brilliance as I train my immune system? [He chuckles, turning around and returning to the food, looking for anything to start cutting the vegetables.] Or maybe I'm just a big appreciator of things that don't turn out perfect... who also really likes popcorns. [Sunny sets himself up at the cutting board and takes a potato. He pulls a knife out of his pocket, flipping it once in his hand, catching it on the handle.
[Kel notices the smooth movement with the knife, but he merely puts it to the side for now. In case of future confrontations with Omori, it's good to know Sunny may carry weapons in his pockets like that.
Still, worry ot about the onions. He's a big brother and his mom trained him hard into the fine art of 'chop everything as thin as possible so Sally won't be able to push it away' and while slow, he's only making very small cubes of the root. And, yes, his eyes are already starting to water up a bit, how do people even cut onions all the time without crying?]
Oh, it begins already. [He's feeling super silly, but maybe with enough time, he'll get used to it?] Time for the deep conversations like- ahem- [He lowers his voice just a bit.] Do you think onions have feelings?
[And then he does the great mistake of wiping one eye with his hand, only making the situation worse and pushing just a bit away from Sunny, just in case. Hero did say some people are more sensible than onions than others, like with many other things, but it doesn't make it less silly.]

The wiped eye is red as heck by now, but by tactically alternating one closed eye and one open he can somehow keep going.]
Good. I mean, at least we suffer together. [He still sounds amused.] I hope mister potato is kinder to you on that side.
Ah, nah, I'm fine. It's going to pass in a minute, I'm done here.
[He lifted the cutting board up, squeezing his right eye as well in Sunny's direction (and totally not having yet another big tear go down his cheek) and trying to aim toward the pot.]

[Words spoken with a super serious tone before he swishes the knife on the cutting board, tossing the onion in the pot in a most dramatic way. After that he's already moving to grab the celery.]
The most difficult part is over. Basically we get all in there and wait until the chicken is cooked enough the meat starts falling apart. Take the bones out and ta-daa. chicken soup!
[Oh! The potatoes, indeed. Sunny should finish chopping those. He gets back to it. To the celery comment, he tilts his head back momentarily to look at Kel.]
