[Sunny watches his girlfriend, even as he takes a drink. It really does taste good, even if it's strange. Everything about this feels strangely common - just two kids having drinks in the living room. It's your average teen experience, really. Almost feels wrong, but...]
[Despite everything - this place, and all its nonsense - Sunny is in a decent mood. They chose a good night. Things can be okay for a little while, at least, and he'd like to make Aubrey smile, laugh. There are so few people he can actually goof off with. It's a miracle he wants to at all, isn't it?
[So, he swishes the bottle around and shrugs.]
Maybe.
[He means to tease, but his cheeks warm when he asks:] Do you...like that sort of thing?
[Amongst the banter, she’s still watching him. It can’t be the alcohol flushing his face already, can it…?]
I think… we could be bad together. [Accompanied by just the smallest of smiles; mischievous, too. But the follow-up is wholly genuine:] I like Sunny whether he’s a good boy or a bad boy or… anything in between.
[Sunny perks up a bit. A cat-boy, you say? He can make that happen. Two triangular ears flicker up out of his head, the swish of a long black tail suddenly visible. At your service, Miss.]
[Aubrey’s grin is wide and immediate, no alcoholic influence necessary. She immediately reaches forward to scritch his feline ears, like some kind of irresistible primal instinct. It’s bad enough when the robot does it already.]
You are! [Small pat to his hair, too, while she’s here.] That was fast… I remember it taking a few minutes the first time.
[Usually, Sunny walks away to do any kind of transformation, but in front of Aubrey, he feels no need to hide from anything. It's so freeing, just being alone with her.
[Gripped by this, he scoots to her on his knees, looping his arms loosely over her shoulders. He's still holding the bottle, but at least it's steady. He leans in for a long, warm kiss; lip on lip - that's all, both intimate and chaste.
[When he pulls away, he brushes their noses together. What were they talking about again?]

It's okay...to take a break.
no subject
[I already did for weeks. Not a conversation she wants to have right now.
[Aubrey lifts the bottle to her lip again, but doesn’t tilt it. Just to move while Sunny does, really.]
I mean… someone has to be responsible. [With the cadence of a tease.] You saw the texts.

Aren't you supposed...to be a bad girl? [Nudge nudge. He gets up on his knees and scoots closer. He takes a big drink.]
Don't...get soft on me now.
no subject
[From anyone else, that nudge might not land—or land entirely wrong. From Sunny? Hell, Aubrey adores him.]
Me? [Spare hand splayed on her chest, mock-offended.] Soft? As if.
[Okay. Fine. She takes a swig. Sunny’s really forcing her hand here.
[It’s so… sweet....]
Is this gonna turn you into a bad boy?

[A beat.]
Even a cat-boy.

I'm getting...pretty good at that.
